Winter 2009-2010

Emirates GC, Dubaï

Sunday, February 7th

This tournament is over with great positive points, like, my game, my length, Brian my new caddy, my clubs, but I did really never find the speed of the greens, on both days. And then, on Friday, came the 3rd when I was really heavily punisched with a double bogey after a little offline drive ! I need defenitely more competitions and I'm looking forward to Europe where I can have some stretches of at least 3 tournaments in a row. Now that I'm ready, I need more rounds. Playing only 1 of the Desert swing is actually frustrating. This was my opening tournament, I need to look forward and my motivation is high...

Emirates GC, Dubaï

Tuesday, February 2nd

I arrived today in Dubaï at 5.30 AM after 16 hours flight, not much sleep, no place for my legs and a stiff neck! Brian (my caddy) slept 15 hours... Took a taxi to the golfcourse and head for 18 holes. My first impresssions: glad to be back on Tour but the rough around the greens are really testing the new grooves. Greens are mirrors and with this rough you better have soft hands! After the round I stayed for an hour around the practice greens. I choose some new titleist Vokey Design wedges and will definetely play with a new Mizuno TP68 serie (I like the softness of this steel, great feel of the ball), I had no time to test my Callaway's that arrived the day before I left Brisbane.

Now I need to go to the physio to solve my neck problem and then back to the hotel because I need a good bed and a very long night. Tomorrow is another day around the greens with my caddy. By the way, Brian, who turned pro himself in 1991, worked the last 5 years for Peter O'Malley, so he knows the course and much more since he caddied for Adame Scott, John Senden, Brett Rumford and Peter O'Malley. He's 39 now and live in Bangkok with his Thaï fiancée.

Brookwater, Australia

Friday, January 22nd

Even finishing 3rd on the Challenge Tour don't give you access to the Desert Swing, I'm still 10th reserve for the Omega Dubaï Desert Classic! To be followed...

It's now a few weeks that I'm fine tuning my short game. Vincent (my agent) and Michel Vanmeerbeek came here down from end December till mid Januari. We had fun the 31st and a lot of work there after. They could see how good the golf facilities are at brookwater and how efficient we could work at A-Game Academy with Ken and Tom Berndt. They also met Daniel Béchu, a French mental coach (father of Romain), who brings a lot of frenchies at the Academy... It's quite hot down here in the Australian Summer on the Sunshine Coast. We work all together under 40°, bloody burning our asses...

Leopard Creek, South-Africa

Friday, December 11th

Even if the Kruger Park is wonderful, when you are not in good shape, you can't compete. That's what happened this week. I can't play competitive golf in those circumstances and I won't play next week neither. So, back to Australia to get back in healthy form and to continue to prepare this 2010 season...

Leopard Creek, South-Africa

Monday, December 9th

The Kruger Park. What a beautiful scene! With Edoardo Molinari and one or two other guys, we hired a safari guide in the morning and discovered some wonderful sites, panoramas and vues... Animals are fantastic to see, great memories...

The Alfred Dunhill Championship this week, my first tournament on the European Tour of this 2010 season! This afternoon, we played 9 holes on a modern lay-out, not too long, and we will play 9 other tomorrow. It's very humid here, I need to get accustomed to the change of weather and the jet-lag, and I need certainly more sleep!!!

Brookwater, Brisbane

Tuesday, November 24th

It's more than one week now that I'm in Australia. But still waking up at 5.00 in the morning, pretty early, but good for long practice sessions, preparing South Africa.

The real work will begin after those 2 tournaments that I will spend with Edoardo Molinari (sharing room). Gosh Dodo played great last week and won in Japan. He told me that he will offer me a great meal in AFS! More info's in a while...

Apulia San Domenico Gran Final (28-31 October)

Saturday 31 October 2009

It's done now officially! I have my card for 2010. But what a battle. It was so cold here in San Domenico, in Puglia. Together, the north wind and the punishing rough were difficult to manage. I was pretty unlucky on 11 with an unplayable ball after a good drive. The sanction was hard: triple bogey. Then I had a second unplayable ball... Fortunately from hole 15, I played solidly and even if the putts at 15 and 16 did not fall, I kept trying. I drove the 17th green (330 meters), good for an eagle, followed by a monster drive on 18 (350 meters) where I clinched the birdie to end with a smile and insure my 3rd place on the Order of Merit.
Every good story ends with an happy end. So, I do thank everybody who support me this year, I am exhausted but proud and happy for my European card 2010!
Dinner at the club-house tonight and pro-am tomorrow. Sunday night, back to Brussels.

Friday 30 October 2009 - PM

When the wind blows like it did today, this is definitely not an easy course. And it's coming from the north while the track has been designed for a south west prevailing wind. I will need a good few putts tomorrow to enter the top 10. But anything can happen with this rough and this wind. So let's be patient, one more round this year...

Friday 30 October 2009 - AM

Wednesday, two mistakes cost me a lot of strokes, the second day the greens did not give anything!

The course is really punishing with heavy rough everywhere. Nothing is done, a good card today and I am back in the top 20. We are coming down the clutch and the tension is building up.

Very windy conditions today and some long par 3 against the wind...

Italy

Monday 26 October 2009

Damned! Dodo Molinari played a sensational finish in Rome to win by one stroke... Now I'm Puglia for the Grand Final at San Domenico golf between Bari and Brindisi. The course setting is very tough with a thick rough around the greens. If the wind continues to blow on this seaside course, it will certainly not be easy. This is the fourth final in San Domenico but it's the first time that I come here. We are between olive trees and vines, great perspective because food here is excellent! The weather is good, even with the wind. So, Wednesday begins the last chapiter of this 2009 season...I was very pleased the way I played in Rome, so...

Ecco Tour Open

Friday 2 October 2009

This is the North Pole. Welcome in winter time. Olsterbo is very nice, brilliant course, but cold and super windy, and my father is not an eskimo, neither I am! Gosh, I tried something on a par 5 and it costs me a quadruple bogey!

I was also one of the three guys who had to have a doping control. This is also done...

We'll give it another go on friday...

June 2009

Sweden, June 26th- What a battle for this Princess. What a difficult wind! 37th

and in the cut at -1, I'm happy to be in the money, let's climb the ranking now. But with a average of 13 holes played over par, these conditions are tough...

Waterloo, June 21st- Since Saturday, I'm in relation with the Challenge Tour headquarters asking an invitation for The Princess in Sweden. Today, the Director of the Challenge Tour announced me the good news: I'm in the field! Sweden is inspirational for me, I like the country, the people and their spirit for sport.

Unfortunately, I had to retire from the qualification of the Open de France. The decision was easy: my objective now is to nestle a place in the Top 10 of the Order of merit of the Challenge Tour...

St Omer, June 19th- OK, 5 in a row and no cut! 4 rounds at St Omer is my Loch Ness Monster. I battled hard as my unusual card can testify. The turning point was the 12 where I had 1,2 meter downhill for birdie, my ball lipped out and the following bogey was maybe a result of it because I had the same putt in downhill (right to left). But I managed two more birides thereafter... but also a killing bogey at 16. This course is really special and those greens are so undulated and fast... Waow

So out of St Omer but my really aim in this end of June has allways been to have a go in Sweden next week. I like Sweden and I do not give up any hope to have a chance to play the Princess, the tournament organized by Henrik Stenson.

So stay tuned for a possible change in my schedule...

St Omer, June 18th- Believe me or not but this afternoon, strong winds made that course very difficult. Pin positions are in green's corners and birdies opportunities are very rare. Definitely, this course can be a real nightmare. In the afternoon, they were only 2 rounds under par. My 73 today (this late afternoon) is still in contention for the cut on friday night. With Patrick Brose on the bag, we will try to make a move under par and maybe -who knows?- I will finally make my first cut in 5 participations... Let's cross our fingers...

Waterloo, June 15th- Tomorrow morning, en route to Saint-Omer where I can play thanks to my Top 10 in Moyvallei. I just cool down today and analyze some figures. I'm 490th on the World Ranking (1271 at the beginning of the season) and 153th European. It's now 277 holes without a double bogey. I'm 10th at the Challenge Tour Order of Merit with 26.275 euros.

Next Monday and Tuesday, I will play the qualification of the Open de France, 36 holes in Chantilly. A pretty buzzy month of June, isn't it...

Moyvalley, Ireland, June 14th - 70-66 -74-68. I told you that it was within reach... Unfortunately, on the 3rd play-off hole, Robert Coles made the birdie and mine lipped out. This was my first playoff as a professionnal, the previous one was against Henrik Stenson in 2000 in Luxemburg when I was still an amateur. Good week for Belgium golf though. Now I'm looking forward to St Omer which is my Loch Ness monster...

Thank you for all your support, we all had a great afternoon: me on the course and you in front of your computer...

Moyvalley, Ireland, June 13th- 70-66 and 74. What a tough day! But I'm happy of my fight against huge winds, heavy rain and an eye lens that scratches me all day... With no caddy, the rain was difficult to handle. Hopefully tomorrow some guy of a scoreboard proposes me to carry my bag. A new team is born ;o)!

You can look at the cards of the last players and you can have a clear idea how were the conditions here. Nevertheless, with my 74, and a good birdie at the last hole, I'm only 2 shots behind the lead, so they will have to pay some attention to the Belgian guy... I'm still within reach!

Moyvalley, Ireland, June 12th- 70-66 on a demanding new course here in Kildare, I'm in the hunt, pleased to play because I didn't receive any invitation for the next three weeks. And St Omer and The Princess in Sweden are the two biggest prize money on our 2009 schedule. So I'm against the wall. Of course, I will try the qualification of the French open the 21 and 22 in Chantilly where 10 spots are available (300 players for 10 places). My next tournament is on July 9th, the Allianz Europen of Lyon.

But for now, let's concentrate on Moyvalley for the next two rounds...

Waterloo, May 31th- I'm pleased finishing 8th at the Telenet Trophy on the Challenge Tour this afternoon. A great eagle on the 72th for a good week, the third in a row. Even if I still made a few mistakes around three greens, I managed to end in beauty. Many thanks to my supporting spectators, the Waterloo staff, my caddy Patrick Brose, the Mich, Alexis Mannès, and you, and you and you!

Waterloo, May 29th- Telenet Trophy. Yesterday, a very frustrating first day (73, +1), on a very demanding course, no putt fell in the cup! Today, I started with birdies on the 10th and 12th and struggled till the 17th. From the 18th, still playing very solidely, I managed to hole some birdies on the 2-5-6 and 9 for a card of 67 (-5). The course is very tough, thick rough, fast greens and lines very delicate to read... The big battle begins tomorrow, there will be surely some show and I will make my best to be part of it. I hope I'll keep swinging well. If you come to Waterloo, I'll see you there!

Turin, May 24th- Great course again here at la Mandria in Torino. Warm weather, a bit humid, and for me a strong hey feaver. But at the end of the competition a 10th place, my first top ten since a few months! I am pretty happy with my last 68, played with Frenchman Olivier David. The birdie on the last was the cherry on the cake... and it's my second strong finish in a row. Now I need some rest, those two weeks were very tyring in the strong winds of Bretagne and the warmth of Turin.

La Marache in Royal Waterloo is on the menu this week, I heard t will be raining at the beginning of the week, which is good for my heyfeaver. The Telenet Trophy is a highlight of our season, it comes a bit early, but nevertheless, we need to take advantage to play on homesoil like Italians did last week at the Piemonte Open.

Don't hestitate, come and support me and the other Belgian players! I will enjoy to play those rounds with you.

Spring 2009

Pleneuf (Brittany), May 18th- What a battle against the wind the 2 last days! It was really difficult. Wind in the nose, we had to put 30 to 40 meters extra to each shot. But at the end, 12th, good finish, top 50 at the Order of Merit, first Belgian player, some encouragement for the next important weeks. A long drive now, more than 1.000 km, to reach Torino for the Piemonte Open next week. Hopefully, it will be in a great car, my Jeep Wrangler prepared by Mannès, trustable and confortable. The tournament begins on a Wednesday in Italy so I'll be back back in Belgium next Sunday to prepare the Open in Waterloo. I hope that La Marache Course receives some sunshine to dry up and have good greens. It's important for our fame than Belgium presents a super course. With Gérald Gresse, Pierre Relecom, Laurent Richard and Nicolas Vanhootegem, we are 5 now on the Challenge Tour and you get that team feeling which is allways fine!

Waterloo, April 29th- El Jadida Morokko. So happy to get back on track on the Tour again. Good course, hotel and organization here in El Jadida. Tournament is so different than training, But with my experience, I'm positive about this week. Positive, relax and determinated...

Waterloo, April 21th- Back in Belgium! I went Sunday to Alexis Mannès to get my new Jeep Wrangler. What a car! Monday I play with Mich Vanmeerbeek the 4BBB PGA Tournament where we finished 1st exaequo at -5  on the La Marache course at Royal Waterloo. Today Members Tour in Hulencourt...

Great weather here, which reminds me the Australia but even if I had good times over there, I'm happy to finally play on the Challenge Tour next week in Marocco El Jadida, a very good course on the sea shore.

Winter 2009

Brisbane, February 9th- As you know it's quite hot down here and very dangerous with the fires. I'm in a fitting mood because I discovered 2 things: a great club fitter Simon Nash at GolfNational and the Diamana Whiteboard shaft 83. In the new Bridgestone driver head, it could be a great blend. This Mitsubishi Rayon shaft in X flex gives a great stability. It's low torque 2,8, high kick point, low spin and softer butt for a better feel. Weight is 84 gram. It gives a bit more stability than the Blueboard Diamana I will put it first in my 3 wood. This shaft is not for children...

Days after days, things are getting together...

Brisbane, February 5th- I went to see the Proettes in the Royal Pines Resort for the Ladies Masters in Australia. Well, I must say that proettes have another game plan than men. I thought that I would be impressed but... no. I followed Karie Webb who has worked at the center where I'm at the moment in Brisbane. I will normally stay here till mid april and fly back to play as first tournament: The Banque Populaire Moroccan Classic at El Jadida end of April. More to come...

Brisbane, Januari 29th - Even here, it's raining sometimes... Nevertheless we enjoy the 30° difference. Next week I will go to the clubfitter of Stuart Appleby, to check my driver's shaft which is maybe a fraction too stiff. It will be interessting to chat with the guy. On the range, Ken berndt is really focusing on short game: Hey mate, play it softer!". 80% of my work is around greens, Ken is very good to organize different exercices during hours, always exciting, never boring. I'm chipping now a lot with a 58° club.

Brisbane, Januari 26th - Everything here is organized for a great training, and it's summer here!

This year I will start to play in France where I'm category 2.1 b, good for some good tournaments. In Belgium I finished 2nd of the International ranking at the end of 2008, the Telenet Trophy at Waterloo is certainly my biggest goal in 2009! Before that, I would like to play 3 or 4 tournaments on the Challenge Tour.

Autumn 2008 & Winter 2009

Best Wishes for you all in 2009!

I am in Australia, Brisbane, right now, for an intensive preparation. I will stay here at the A Game Academy for several weeks with other pro's. The aim is to get my confidence back thanks to a real competitive short game. The program is simple: wake up at 6 o'clock and practice followed by 18 holes and practice and more holes...

I finally acccepted to chip using the bounce of the club something I resisted to do, using instead the face of the club what made Michel always mad! Conditions are here perfect, very warm. The course is very competitive so the place is perfect to prepare my season. This is a much different start of the year and it is something I feel I badly needed!

More in a few days...

Barbaroux, November 1st — 66-71, second of this tournament that has been disturbed by heavy rain and reduced to two rounds. Again, today, good long game but less success on the greens, the story of 2008! In januari, I will plan a long trip in Australia to become a much better putter!

Barbaroux, October 30th: What a sad putting year! With my 66 (-6) today at the AGF Pro Tour Final, 2 eagles 2 birdies no bogeys, I have another proof that all this season is influenced by my lack of scoring on the greens. At the qualifying for the European cards, I hit 61 greens on 72 and missed the top 25! Arnaud Langenaeken, my caddy at that tournament, did witness the great long game I displayed, but unfortunetly also the lack of success on 3 meters putts.

In Barbaroux, the course is tough, so the better hitters of the golf ball will appear at the top of the ranking. Now, for me, let's hope that the putts will fall 3 days in a row!

Brussels, October 22nd — My web site is back alive after many hackers attacks. My next tournament will be the Alps Tour final in Barbaroux in South of France. More updates in a near future!

Summer 2008

Lutherbach, July 10th: Dju! So many putts flew by the hole. So near but yet so far. 71 and it could have been 65! My game is great for the moment, something is gonna happen...

Lutherbach, July 8th: André Glauser, the promotor of the Crédit Suisse Challenge was so kind to phone me today and offer me an invitation for his tournament. I will be in Lutherbach tonight and play the Pro-Am tomorrow. Thanks to all my fans for their support last week

Lyon, July 4th: 35 holes without a bogey today, not every week! The conditions are tough but it's typical target golf here at The Gouverneur Golf Club.-7 today but with 5 shots of John Morgan's -12! I played with David Horsey today, the winner of The Telenet, his putting is still very hot.

Paris, June 23rd: After 3 weeks of heavy hay fever and 2 important tournaments missed, I'm in Paris for the Open de France at the Golf National. Greg Havret invited me at his place. I need to fine tune my new driver and my 3 wood. My next tournament is in Lyon next week.

Brussels, June 19th: My startingtime is 8.10 on the first tee Thursday and 13.10 on Friday. Be there! I won with my team the pro-am, I hope it's not my last podium this week!

Brussels, June 18th: Tomorrow starts the Telenet Trophy. My caddy will be Richard Vanmeerbeek, the sun of Michel, my coach. After a french week where I learned a lot, I'm looking forward to ,play in front of a belgian crowd.

Manchester, June 1rst: What a last day! It rained so much that my poor driving sunk after a few holes. So did my scoring. Nevertheless, I'm still confident for the next tournaments and I have now one week to fix my driving before going to St Omer.

Manchester, May 30th: Nice place here in Worsley Park, good weather, but  this course is not that competitive. 66-67 for -7 to make the cut (-4) with a bad driving today. Because of that, I had a bad serie with bogey - double - bogey. Then I settled down and made the useful birdies to end at -7. My buddy John Morgan is also through the cut, we share the same room.

May 2008 - Open de Bordeaux

Bordeaux, May 25th: The Open de Bordeaux is a great organized tournament. All the city and golfers around Bordeaux are behind Jean-Charles Cambon and their Open. Unfortunetely, I blocked my back on the 2nd hole and played a first round with a very good 78 in those circumstances. I survived the cut with a birdie on my 36th hole and played -7 on the next 3 rounds to end up with a surprinsingly 16th place.

Tomorrow  at 6.00 I fly back to Brussels and then to Bristol for my next tournament: the Oceanico Pro-Am Challenge in Manchester.

I'm pleased to announce three more news: Suzuki Belgium decided to join my sponsorship. Welcome to Suzuki!

Then, the Big boss of  the Open de St Omer, Jean-Jacques Durand, send me an invitation for the AA Open de St Omer presented by Neuflize OBC. This is the Major on the Challenge Tour, so I'm looking forward to play this tournament where Basile Dalberto (French-Australian who caddy on Tour) will be my caddy!

Brussels, May 20th: Today, I'm flying to Bordeaux for their Open. I have good memories there. It's a great tournament organized by Jean-Charles Cambon (France Golf Pro Tour www.opendebordeaux.com) with a lot af good players. Check my calendar to see my next tournaments till the first week of July. Before leaving I finetuned several clubs, 2  grips on wedges with the great Bernard Cuvelier at RWGC and 11 others with Daniel Rombaut at Golfan in Mons. Daniel worked hard for 2 1/2 hour but succeed to reach the very precise specification I was looking for. He is a rare genious in clubfitting. Every golfer should go to them!

Brussels, May 16th: Since I'm back from Morocco, I practiced a lot my chipping. Today, I have a sponsor day with Siemens at 7 Fontaines GC. Next Tuesday I will be in Bordeaux to play the Open there on the AGF Allianz Tour where I'm leader on the Order of Merit. Thereafter I will play in Manchester the Oceanico Pro-Am on the Challenge Tour.

May 2008 - Open du Maroc

El Jadida, May 3th: After a bad 76, 69 today and I'm back in Top 30. But the great news is that my good friend John Morgan is in contention for the victory. I'm looking forward for tomorrow! By the way, we had a serious fog today and 4 hours delay...

El Jadida, May 1st: 70 today, I started like a diesel with a bogey on the 2nd, but then setlled my game and finished strongly with birdies on 7-8-16-17, on behalve of the bogey on 18. No wind today, great conditions and obviously good scores...

El Jadida, April 30th: Back in business on the Challenge Tour. The course is in fine condition but it is pretty windy and the greens are quite tricky. Surrounded by eucalyptus, il has a scent of Dar es salam, but shorter and trickier. If the weather stays like this, you won't see scores of -15 after 72 holes! Greens are very tight, sometines with less than 10 meters deep. The three last holes, near the shore, are gonna be tough. They are playing against the wind. On the the par 3 16 (180 meters), I hitted a 2 iron! 17 and 18 are very solid. But more than the wind, the tiny greens will be of great concern to all the players.

April 2008

Pleneuf, April 26st 2008: The 70 first holes were OK, but I didn't like at all the way I played the 2 last ones!  Nevertheless, I have to concentrate now to my next tournament in Morocco...

Pleneuf, April 25st 2008: Tough day. Very unfortunate on 12 ... just when I was coming back nicely. At the end of the day, it's not bad to be still on the top 10. Birdie on 18 is a good start for tomorrow...

Pleneuf, April 24st 2008: Another good round in 65 shots. Pretty the same as yesterday but I didn't made the same mistakes. The course is beautiful, the weather is cold and windy. The 3 Belgians have made the cut, good for our fame. Now let's face two more rounds shot by shot, quiet and patient.

Pleneuf, April 23st 2008: The first round of this new season is on the scoreboard: 69, one under. I'm swinging nicely, pretty happy of my game. I was -4 after 12 holes, but had then 1 or 2 bad shots, but finished with two solid pars. So I'm confident about the work done last months, and looking forward to the next rounds.

January 2008

Brussels, January 31st 2008: I got back to the range with a interesting program drawn up by Michel Vanmeerbeek. For the first time in 3 years, I accepted his point of view on modifying my grip to change the way I hit the golf ball. "A golf swing is a process of constant evolution, your body is continuously changing. You hit over 10000 golf balls over the years. But the way you grip the club, there is not half a chance to get consistency out of it". Those were Michel's words.

I am testing new shafts that I discovered at Golfan proshop: I 21 from eagle one made from scandium on my irons and ACCRA graphite shafts on woods. Joachim checked all my clubs and made one or two nice proposals.

Next week I'll try the I 21 (7.0) in some of my irons because the 6.5 I have now are too weak. From February 23rd I will be training in Portugal until March 5th with Michel.

I'm looking forward on putting, chipping on better hivernal conditions. I should find in Villa Sol the good conditions I need to make sure I made the right choice on my equipment.

I will be ready around mid March to play in a couple of pro-ams in France.

Then onto the Challenge Tour in april.

Till then wish me good luck...

Nicolas

December 2007

Brussels - December 1st, 2007 - What Didier de Vooght is doing in Australia and New Zealand is definitely great! Thumbs up to Didier. What a great way to start the season...

November 2007

Brussels - November 20th, 2007 - These figures of the Qualifying Finals at San Roque may interest some people:

- average age of the 30 card winners: 31,7 year old

- they turn pro since 9,7 years (around 22 years old)

- they came 6,6 times at the finals

- amateur handicap when they turn pro = +3

The champion is Phil Golding, 46 years old, 26th years as a pro, 18th try at the QS! Well done Phil!

Brussels - November 14th, 2007 - It's my 25th Birthday today, a quarter of a century. Time for a new start...

Girona PGA Catalunya - November 10th, 2007 - 76 today and again. Thank you for the support of all my afficionado's. It has been such a bad year. Too many bad decisions. Time now to think off and to prepare the future. Thanks again to my close partners, my parents, Mich, Borre, Chriss, my sponsors and others. I feel also sorry for Didier and Jérôme, they had their chances. All the best for Nicolas V. at the finals!

Girona PGA Catalunya - November 9th, 2007 - 76 today. Let's finish with a good round tomorrow.  I owe it to Mich. Sorry buddy!

Girona PGA Catalunya - November 8th, 2007 - 77 today, a nightmare. No birdies, no break... I will need a strong 3rd round to make the qualification.

Girona PGA Catalunya - November 7th, 2007 - So there we are, PQ2 in PGA Catalunya for 4 rounds: 1 over the first round. Hopefully Michel Vanmeerbeek was there to help me because I struggle on the green and on somme other shots. I'm counting on him to boost my confidence witch is not at full potential for the moment. I'm 34th and there are only 17 places to be qualified for the Finals (6 rounds from 10 to 15th november in San Roque).

Brussels - October 31th, 2007 - So there we are, PQ2 in PGA Catalunya, 4 rounds between 7 and 10 November. This is serious stuff because it's a sprint. I take it seriously and I even asked Michel Vanmeerbeek to come with me. I'm very happy that he accepted, I will need his strength and knowledge beside me. But golf stays allways uncertain, there are still 180 holes to go to reach a European Tour card in 2008! By the way, I feel very sorry for Nicolas Vanhootegem, he played so well this year.

Finger cross now for the 10 next rounds...

Crans Montana - September 6th, 2007 - After a night in my car -it was so cold and so unconfortable!- I arrived this Wednesday morning at the tournament office in Crans at 8.30 am. Then I tried to warm up my bones and have a breakfast. I had a nap with one ear in a croissant. A few hours later the PGA Tour called to tell me that I was in the tournament playing at 9.10 on Thursday! My last year's caddy, Roachie, will take my bag this week, I hope until Sunday. I can't play the course today but I know these 18 holes even if I never played well here. Anyway I like this tournament atmosphere and hope to survive to the frustration of those hollow greens.

Sorry but I have to leave, I need to find a bed because all hotels are full... I will maybe stay in a caddy's appartment where Roach has found a place. One thing is for sure, I need to sleep... and not in my car...

Brussels - September 2nd, 2007 - Sorry for the silence but I had to recover a bit of form to communicate again. Since Scandinavia, I feel that I can play well again. The KLM Open was a confirmation, before my 66 at Gleneagles. Then, some drives quit the fairways, a posture problem. But I fight really hard to keep my game and my scores together. Even if I was tired at the end and even if I made 3 strokes too much the last 3 days, I'm happy about the 72 (1 under) at the 4th round. Because beginning with  a double bogey is the worst start you can dream off! So I'm waiting for another tournament, my program isn't ready for now. In any case I wanted to thank the great support I received the last weeks with a lot of emails. I have readed them all... Thank you for that!

Brussels - August 6th, 2007 - Still fighting for inspiration, I will travel the 13th of August to Stockholm trying to find my game back. There, I will play the Scandinavian Masters where I lost a lot of my confidence last year! Thus after a lot of hesitations and mind changes, I go back to the Europan Tour for a few tournaments, of course ... if I can enter! C.U.

Brussels - June 30th, 2007 - You may wonder why I didn't update my site, well I must confess that I have lost a part of my confidence. After a good and deep analysis, my manager proposed me a plan for the next few months in order to regain my confidence. 2 key words: technical swing awareness and work. This started today. I won't play before the second par of July and the Man Nö Open on the Challenge Tour.

Brussels - May 31th, 2007 - After another serious illness that kept me away of golf courses for 12 days, I am back on training. I have a 4 day program, starting tomorrow in Chantilly and then in Versailles to prepare the qualification of the Alstom Open de France (11 and 12 June). Next Tuesday I will fly from Roissy to Vienna to play the Austrian Open, then Chantilly (36 holes) and one day after the St Omer Open. June has always been a heavy month and this year is no exception. Nevertheless, I hope to be fit enough to play competitively.
